Kenneth Ray Wright, 78, of Greenville died March 13, 2012, at Medical Center of Plano following a very short illness. There will be a service at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Rev. Paul Gould officiating. Burial will be at the cemetery with Kristopher Porter, Kortlan Porter, Kaleb Wright, Spencer Wright, John Wright, Todd Wright, and Brian Wright serving as pallbearers.

He was born January 4, 1934, in the Whiterock Community in Hunt County, he was the son of Wayland Herschel and Ruth Helen Evans Wright. He married Patricia Estelle Crowell on July 3, 1954, in Amarillo. Mr. Wright retired as a technical sergeant from the United States Air Force; he served for 21 years during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He later retired from E-Systems with 26 years of service.

Survivors are a son, Kerry Wright and wife Danata of Greenville; daughters Teresa Felts and husband Steve of Wolfe City and Kenna Porter and husband Kenneth of Greenville; eight grandchildren, Kristopher Porter, Kortlan Porter, Keri Porter, Kaci Porter, Karlee Wright, Kaleb Wright, Sarah Felts and Emma Felts; a brother, Wayland Joe Wright and wife Carolyn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and brother, Jerry Steve Wright.
