Linda Barnes age 67 of Lubbock died at Covenant Health System of Lubbock on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. She was born in Abilene on August 4, 1946 to Dewey L. and Flausa Bell McKee Hinkle.

She was a member of the South Crest Baptist
Church in Lubbock. On January 26, 1967 she married Gary L. Barnes in Irving. They had 2 sons.

She is survived by her husband, Gary of Lubbock and son, Jimmy Barnes and wife Hilary of Lubbock. Brother, Bobby Hinkle and sisters, Sue Reader and Peggy Watson. Two grand-children, Mandalyn Coatsuand husband, Kaci and Chance Barnes. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Chris, and one sister.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 11 at 2:00 P.M. at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas with Brother Tim Hearn officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Chance Barnes, Kaci Coats, James Barnes, Bryan Barnes and Chad Barnes serving as pallbearers.
