Lloyd Allen Brewer, age 80, of Bonham, Texas formerly of Commerce, Texas died peacefully at his home on Monday, July 15, 2013. He was born on May 24, 1933 in Lannius, Texas to Earl Thomas & Verna Gertrude Elliott Brewer. He married Elizabeth Ann Shepherd on June 16, 1962 in Greenville, Texas.

Mr. Brewer attended Boyd Baptist Church in Bonham and served in the United States Navy for four years during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of Commerce Distributing Company for over 25 years.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Elizabeth Ann Brewer of Commerce, Texas, two sons, Stanley Dwayne Brewer of Dallas, Texas and Kevin Todd Brewer of Sacramento, California, two brothers, Joe Brewer of Benton, Arkansas, and Roy Dean Brewer of Pittsburg, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings Ross Brewer, Virginia Ruth Bellou, and Tom Brewer.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Commerce with Brother Lyn Holly officiating.

Interment will follow at Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie, Texas with Shawn Rencher, Robert Brewer, Charlie Norman, Jackie Arnold, Dave Arnold, and Ryan Evans serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will Greg Brewer and Michael Bellou, with military honors provide by the Hunt County Veterans Honor Guard.
