Lois was a person of many talents. In her high school years she liked to play basketball and was captain of her team. She loved to draw, paint, make ceramics, and write poems, quilt and work in her flowerbeds.

Lois worked at many jobs throughout her adult life. Her favorites were working in the newspaper field. She worked at The McKinney Gazette, the Allen American and the Penny Saver of McKinney. She sold advertising, wrote stories, and laid out ads.
Lois was a member of Woods St. church of Christ. She loved God and used her talents to glorify Him as reflected in her poetry. Through the years she taught pre-school Bible classes, Ladies Bible classes and Home Bible Studies. One of her favorite memories was of teaching home Bible studies in a campaign to Sioux Falls, S. Dakota with the Walnut Hills church of Christ of Dallas, Texas.
Her children were her pride and joy. She is survived by one son, Jerry Spradling and wife, Bonnie, of Denison and a daughter, Delores Hall and her husband, James, of Sherman; Step-children Jerry (Buzz) Malone and wife, Linda, of Wolfe City and Brenda Swinson of Bonham.
