Marie Garnett, age 97, formerly of Wolfe City, passed away, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Heritage House of Paris.. She was born in Madilia, Minnesota to Oren and Sarah McDonald Lord as Ruthetta Marie Lord. She married Donald R Garnett May 3, 1947 in Rochester, Michigan. Marie was a registered nurse, loving mother and wife.
She is survived by her sons: Mitchell and wife Janet Garnett, and Doug Garnett, 3 grandchildren: Rebecca, Bradley and Morgan, and four great-grandsons.

Her funeral will be Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church in Paris with visitation one hour before at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Byrd will officiate the service. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
