August 6, 1940 –  July 15, 2016 Marie Gillentine Sellers, 75, of Wolfe City passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 in Walnut Hill Medical Center of Dallas. Mrs. Sellers was born on Aug. 6, 1940 in Golden, Tx to Monroe Hugh and Dollie Lankford Gillentine. She married George Ernest Sellers on Oct. 29, 1973 in El Paso, Tx . She retired as a seamstress. She cared for children from many families through the years and was known as “Momma, Granny Ree and NeNe” . She was a kind, loving, and caring person who always put others needs before her own. She never met a stranger and accepted everyone with open arms. Her Children and grandchildren were her life. To have met her was to love her, to have never met her was a loss.Survivors include Sons; Tommy McGee of Greenville, Mike Bowen and wife Vickie of Wolfe City, George Sellers of Point, Carleton Sellers and wife Tami of Royse City, Perry Sellers of Quincy, Ill. Matt Sellers of Quincy, Ill., Ernie Sellers and wife Brooke of Greenville, Presley Sellers of Wolfe City; daughters, April Glas and husband John of Wolfe City, Donna Reeves and husband Keith of Greenville. 3 Brothers; Don Gillentine, Jerry Kuhn and Bruce Kuhn and a sister; Brenda Folmar. Twenty grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Mrs. Sellers was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, one sister, and a son, Gary Kuhn.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 18th at 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Wolfe City with Marvin McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City. Pallbearers are grandsons; Chris Bowen, Craig Sellers, Andrew Medlin, Shay Sellers, Eric McGee, Justin McGee, Taylor Wise and Colton Wise. The Wolfe City Volunteer Fire Department will serve as Honorary Pallbears.
