Our precious mother Mary Jim Clements of Ladonia passed from this life to her heavenly home on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Colonial Lodge in Greenville, Texas where she had made her home for the last six years. Mary Jim was born on May 29, 1924 in Gober, Texas to Vernon and Mary Nix Shive. She graduated from Gober High School in 1942. She married the love of her life William Daniel Clements on February 27, 1943 in Sherman, Texas. They were married 55 years before his death in July of 1998.

She was a lifelong member of the Christian Church where she faithfully served as a Sunday School Teacher and Pianist. She was a dedicated servant to her family and her community. She was happiest when she was working and serving others.
Mary Jim retired after 28 years of service at Fannindel I.S.D. She was a faithful supporter of the Fannindel Falcons and all school activities. She also was very involved in helping William in their grocery store.

She is survived by four daughters Mary and Sam Hemby of Farmersville, Shirley and Mike Cassol of Grandbury, Betty and Darrell Lewis of Van, and Nancy and Mark McKinney of Pittsburg. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren whom she adored. Mary Jim is also survived by one brother Vernon and Bonnie Shive and one sister Francis Guerrero and many nieces and nephews.

Mary Jim was preceded in death by her husband and parents, by a son-in-law Jimmy Parish, one brother Edward Shive, and two sisters Margaret Fisk, and Joan Thomas.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Ladonia with sons-in-law Darrell Lewis and Mike Cassol officiating. Interment will follow at the Ladonia Cemetery with her six grandsons; Bill Hemby, Jim Hemby, John Moon, Mark McKinney, Robby Parish, and Tony Hemby serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service.
