Matthew Wade Stephens age 47 of Dallas, Texas died on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his home with his loving family surrounding him. He was born on June 27, 1966 in Dallas, Texas to Bob O. and Patricia Ann Brown Stephens. He married Therese Holy on March 17, 1990 in Dallas.

Matt graduated from Bishop Lynch High School and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas. He worked as the Director of Reimaging for Brinker International. He was a husband, father, son and coach. Matt was known as a hard worker and good friend.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years Therese Stephens and son Luke Henry Stephens both of Dallas, his mother Pat Stephens of Mesquite, sister Sally Norris of Mesquite, two brothers Mike Stephens and wife Diana of Rockwall, John Stephens and wife Julie of Round Rock, nieces and nephews; Cody, Laura and Jack Norris, Emily Stephens, Katie Kee, Taylor and Maddie Stephens, Ben & Lauren Homesley, Preston, Ryan and Garin Morrow, Connor, Kyle and Sam Sherrod, Camden, Anna and Henry Holy, Reese and Charlie Rawson, Ava and Ella Holy.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 12, 2013 at St. Pius X Catholic Parrish in Dallas, with Father Michael Guadagnoli officiating.
Interment will follow at 1:30 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas with Ben Homesley, Cody Norris, Jack Norris, Preston Morrow, Ryan Morrow, Garin Morrow, Connor Sherrod, and Kyle Sherrod serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Sherrod, Camden Holy, Charlie Rawson, and Henry Holy.

Matt is preceded in death by his father Bob O. Stephens in 2007 and brother Mark Stephens in 1963.
