Maud Reon Hopkins, age 95 of Arlington, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. She was born on July 16, 1919 in Wolfe City, Texas to Sidney and Nona Westbrook Burkett. She married Charles Edward Hopkins and he precedes her in death.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Arlington, and was a homemaker and artist. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, she will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Hopkins is survived by daughter LaDana Hopkins of Weatherford, son Chris Hopkins and wife Karen of Weatherford, daughter-in-law Peggy Hopkins of Waxahachie, grandchildren; Chuck Hopkins, Dana Marie Hopkins, Allison Bobe, Aaron Hopkins great-grandchildren; Jeremy, Britni, Shay, Andrew, Elizabeth, great-great-grandchildren; Cooper, and Addi.

She is preceded in death by her husband, father and mother, brother Jack Burkett, three children; Sidney Marcell, Jacquelyne Bertrand, Charleon Edward Hopkins.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at noon at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City with Brother Tim Hearn officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
