Michelle Hartley Dowell passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at her residence in Gober, Texas. Ms. Dowell was born on February 19, 1956, in Jacksonville, Florida to Fred E. Hartley and Lillie Margaret Richardson Hartley.

Michelle was a child of God and a member of the Catholic faith. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her children and grandchildren above all else. She also enjoyed music, gardening, and remodeling her house.

Survivors are her best friend of 22 years Jimmy Dowell of Gober, Tx; 1 son Michael Coffman and wife Kristie of Gunter; 2 daughters, Jessica Brown of Southmayd, Tx and Amy Brown of Gober, Tx; 2 step daughters, Jennifer Smith and husband Steve of Pottsboro, Tx and Alicia Rupert and husband Jason of Whitesboro, Tx; 1 step son Chuck Dowell and wife Krystal of Southmayd, Tx; 12 grandchildren, Caroline Morton, Dylan Davis, Christopher Morris, Conner Coffman, Wyatt Rupert, Clayton Rupert, Morgan Rupert, Thomas Smith, Caitlyn Smith, Saryn Dowell, Sadie Jackson, and Scarlet Simmons; her father Fred Hartley, 4 sisters, Sherri Hunt and husband Marvin of Baytown, Tx; Stephanie Tassin and husband Ray of Early, Tx; Nanette Hartley of Goldthwaite, Tx; Vicki Peters and husband Stuart of Priddy, Tx; 5 brothers, Tommy Hartley and wife Nitya of Fairfield, Tx; Phillip Hartley of Baytown, Tx; Charles Hartley and wife Denise of Forney, Tx; Jamey Hartley of Abilene, Tx; and Richard Hartley and wife Annelise of Kennsington, MD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Commerce, Tx. A memorial service in the R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Wolfe City, Tx will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014.

Memorials may be made to Home Hospice of Cook, Grayson, and Fannin Counties.
