Mildred Francis (Green) Pack passed peacefully at Honey Grove Nursing Center in Honey Grove, Texas on May 2, 2020 at the age of 83.

Mildred Francis Green was born on October 26, 1936 to Edward C. Green and Alma (Whitson) Green in Joaquin, Texas. She was raised in Joaquin and Center, Texas. Mildred married James Ray Pack on December 10, 1960. They welcomed two children into their home, Randall Wayne Pack and Melisa Kay (Pack) Durham. Returning to Wolfe City in 1967 and became very active in the community.

Mildred was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Aberfoyle Baptist Church and later, First Baptist Church in Wolfe City, Texas. She was active as a Sunday School teacher and a member of the women’s group at the church. She loved to cook for her husband and grandchildren. She enjoyed catering delicious meals for many years for community groups and events. She loved to garden and won awards from the city for her pristine flower beds and yard. She actively participated in their family business, Pack Equipment, for many years.

She worked for and retired from Ne-Tex Co-op Oil Mill in Wolfe City, Texas.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Pack; parents, Edward and Alma Green; brothers, Julius Green, James Green, Charles Green; sisters, Mattie Mary Prewitt, Doris Nadine Holcombe, Avis Rich, Mable Oetjens, Margie Green, Lyndle Green, and Velma Rholes. She is survived by her brother, Dalton R. Green; son, Randall Wayne Pack and wife, Mary Ann of Gober, TX; daughter, Melisa Kay (Pack) Durham and husband, Derrick of Flower Mound, TX; grandchildren: Lindsey (Durham) Hatter and husband, Brian, Brent Durham and wife, Katie, Sarah Kathryn (Pack) Carrillo and husband, Raul; James Reid Pack, Matthew Quinn Pack, Jacob Randall Pack; great-grandchildren, Harper Hatter and Thomas Hatter.

A private graveside service at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City, Texas was conducted by Owens Funeral Home of Wolfe City. Officiating was Kevin Ice, Lay Pastor.

Pallbearers are her son, Randall Pack; grandsons: Brent Durham, Reid Pack, Matthew Pack, Jacob Pack, and son-in-law, Derrick Durham. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters, Lindsey Hatter and Sarah Carrillo.
