Patrick Lee “Pat” Scallan, 68, of Kingston, Okla., died September 11, 2012, at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center of Sherman. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City with Pastor Butch Bruton officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Son of Lee and Mattie Marie Jarreau Scallan, he was born Dec. 23 1943, in Alexandria, La. He married Regina Ann Garcia on April 25, 1983, in Greenville. Mr. Scallan was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked in aircraft management and retired from L-3 with 35-plus years’ service. He was a member of New Life Church in Caddo Mills.
Survivors include his wife of Kingston, Okla.; daughters Kim Peavler of Nicoma Park, Okla., Cara Caplinger and husband Gary of Point, Candra Crabb and husband Barry of Mesquite and Nikki Brown of Wagner; sons Michael Tiffee of Kingston, Okla., and Greg Scallan of Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren Justin Scallan, Sara Peavler, Ashleigh Lanting, Jeffrey Lanting, Cameron Scallan, Kendalyn Scallan, Haven Crabb, Ryker Crabb and Blayne Lee Skidmore; great-grandchildren Caiden Moore, Nathaniel Scallan and Bryson Scallan; a sister, Sandra Marie Patterson and husband Mike of Winterset, Iowa; and cousin Edna “Bootsie” Robbins and husband Roy of Centerpoint, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents daughter Candice Scallan and nephew Chris Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be James Brown, Austin Moore, Robert Garcia II, Josh Bowman, Richard Holder and P.D. Ethridge. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffery Lanting, Justin Scallan, Mike Watts and Sonny Ashley.
