Pearly June Parsons went to be with Jesus and her heavenly family at 2:15AM on Aug. 24, 2018, at her home in Terrell. She was 84.
June was born October 24, 1933, to Pauline and Stanley Powell in Anton, TX. She married George Parsons in 1951 in Yuma, Arizona. She is survived by daughters Darla Shipp and husband Stanley of Rockwall, Gail Galyean and husband Terry of Alba TX, and Cynthia Hinojosa and husband Jerry of Poetry TX; son George Lewis Parsons Jr. of Rockwall; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters Norita Smith of Denison TX, and Gayle Thomas and husband Don of Atlanta GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life June shared the love of Jesus. Her ministries included teaching children and equipping teachers of children through Child Evangelism Fellowship, leading Good News Club groups, and teaching Sunday school at her church. After the death of her beloved husband George, she moved to an assisted living community where she saw a need for a Bible study and prayer ministry for the residents. Despite physical limitations, she boldly and courageously said “yes” to God’s call and established a Bible study class, which she also taught, along with a prayer ministry for the residents and employees of the facility.
She is preceded in death by her husband, mother, father and sister Stanline Stanfield.

My precious Aunt June. The kindest, most loving Aunt that has ever lived. Always uplifting. Always a kind word of encouragement. Never was too busy for me, or any loved one . GODLY, generous, and loved is she. Missed beyond words. Thankfully I will see her in heaven. Just as she taught me!
