March 15, 1938 – November 30, 2016 Prentis “Leon” Page, age 78, of Garland, TX, passed away November 30, 2016. He was born March 15, 1938, in Chireno, TX, to Homer Arlis Page and Mary Lizzie (Duke) Page. Leon was a member of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, TX, and a previous officer of the Dallas Paint and Coating Association. He retired from Univar as the Director of Safety and from Sherwin Williams as a Purchasing Manager. Leon was a hard worker, loyal and quite the prankster. He never met a stranger and never forgot a name or date. He loved to play golf and dominoes, especially 42. Leon adored his family and the family land near Nacogdoches, TX. He loved his roots and was a wonderful father, husband and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of seven years: Bettye Page; daughter: Deborah Kay Rule and husband Rick of Plano, TX; son: Michael Scott Page of Dallas; stepsons: William Prince and wife Kay of Dallas and Gregory Prince and wife Michelle of Arlington, TX; grandchildren: Mark Rule, Luke Rule, Troy Prince and Merritt Prince; siblings: Donnice Page and wife Joy, Brenda Monday and husband Raymond, Yvonne Davis and Larry Page and wife Dixie; and aunt: Madeline McMurry; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife: Betty Emmons Page.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rockwall Chapel with Dr. Charles Brazell officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, TX. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 12:00pm.
