Puryear Burnett “Scooter” Wilson, 91, of Gun Barrel City, Tx. and former Wolfe City resident passed away Saturday, Sept. 2nd in Gun Barrel City, Tx. Mr. Wilson was born in Wolfe City to Webb J. Wilson and Mary Lee Williams Wilson on Oct. 8, 1925, he married Dorothy Dean Vice on Oct. 2, 1948 in Ladonia, Tx. Mr. Wilson was a retired Master Plumber, a Veteran of WW II and a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Greenville.
He is survived by his wife, 4-daughters; Carolyn Wilson, Brenda Martin and husband Billy, Patsey Wilson, Betty Boyde and husband Kent, 2-Sons; Gary Wilson and wife Debbie, Randy Wilson and wife Kelly. Eleven Grandchildren and Eleven Great-Grandchildren. One brother, Webb Wilson, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 9th in the R. W. Owens and Son Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City conducted by Bro. Billy Smith, Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City. Military Honors will be presented by the Hunt County Honor Guard.
