December 15, 1946 –  March 25, 2017 Ronnie Lynn Russell, 70, of Ladonia, passed away Saturday, March 25th at his residence in Ladonia. Mr. Russell was born on December 15, 1946 in Dallas to Richard and Francis Copeland Russell. He married Virginia A. Moore on March 19, 1965 in McKinney.
He was a retired firefighter with the Farmers Branch Fire Department and was a master builder and nationwide authority on building and restoring 409 engines. He was a member of the 348 & 409 Forum Family.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of Ladonia, one son, Don Russell; a daughter, Lara Shahan and husband John. Grandchildren; Jeremy Shahan and Jaclyn Shahan. Great-grandchildren; Kinsley Shahan, Bayli Simmons, Isaac Shahan, Atlas Foster. Mother, Lucille Russell; Brother Donnie Russell and wife Marsha; 2 Sisters, Sharon Jackson and husband Pete, Pam Taylor and husband John; nephews, Josh Jackson, Nathan Jackson, Scott Russell and his dog Holley. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his father Richard Russell.

Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM, Tuesday, March 28th at the Ladonia Cemetery in Ladonia, conducted by Bro. Sam Glenn. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the R. W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City. A memorial service will be held in the Dallas Area at a later date.
