July 1, 1917 –  April 8, 2015 Wasson,
Sidney Glenn Wasson, 97, of Wolfe City passed away Wednesday, April 8 at the Summer Ridge Assisted Living in Rockwall, Tx.

Mr. Wasson was born on July 01, 1917 in the China Grove Community near Wolfe City to Rogers Wasson and Della Casteel Wasson. He married Dorothy Dugger on September 21, 1938 in Hugo, Okla. He and Dorothy were married for 76 years.

Mr. Wasson was active in the Wolfe City Community, he was a member of the First United Methodist Church serving as church treasurer for many years, active in the Wolfe City Kiwanis Club having perfect attendance for 37 years.

Mr. Wasson retired from the Wolfe City Ind. School District having served a teacher, principal and superintendent for 49 years. And was a veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors are his wife of Rockwall. A son; Dr. Robert Wasson and wife Kay and grandsons Ronald Glenn Wasson and Blake Wasson; two Daughters; Barbara Wesson and husband Dr. Jerry Wesson and grandson Scott Wesson, Elaine Wilson and husband Dr. Chuck Wilson and grandson Chris Wilson along with granddaughter, Kim Middleton. Mr. Wasson had eleven great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held in the First United Methodist Church in Wolfe City on Sunday, April 12 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Carolyn Allbritton and the Grandchildren of Mr. Wasson conducting the service Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Pallbearers will be Scott Wesson, Ron Wasson, Chris Wilson, Blake Wasson, Robert Middleton and Ryan Wasson. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
