Theta Faye Keeble, age 82, passed away November 19, 2020 at Medical City in Plano. She was born to Frank Levi and Era Edith Romans March 3, 1938 in Cumby.
Theta married Jerry Keeble, November 3, 1956, and obtained a bachelor’s of education degree from East Texas State University in Commerce. After earning her bachelor’s degree she enrolled in Sam Houston University in Huntsville and earned her master’s degree. Education was important to Theta so she went to work as an elementary school teacher at Rains County ISD in Point, and Aldine ISD. When she was not teaching, she enjoyed going to church and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association.
Theta is survived by her husband, Jerry of Commerce, sons: Tony Keeble, M.D. and wife Robin of Grapevine, and Eric Keeble and wife Leanne of Cypress, and her three grandchildren: Ian Keeble, Geddy Keeble, and Audie Keeble. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Romans of Cumby, sister-in-law Judy Keeble Burns and husband Dennis of Mesquite and her nephews, Alan Romans and Daniel Romans and wife Mary. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be conducted by Kris Myers at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 22, 2020 at the Mt. Carmel Chapel. The funeral home will be open for informal viewing Saturday afternoon, November 21, 2020.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Moore, Ian Keeble, Geddy Keeble, Audie Keeble, Daniel Romans, and John Miles.
