March 20, 1932 –  June 30, 2011 Troy Wyndle Greenwood age 79 of Wolfe City died on Thursday, June 30, 2011. He was born in Leonard, Texas on March 20 1932 to Ruben Cecil Greenwood and Mattie Berry Kuhn Greenwood. He married Betty Lou Vanhoozer in Plano, Texas on April 14, 1981 and she precedes him in death in 2007. Troy was a member of the Church of Christ and was a Commercial Model Builder. In his leisure time he enjoyed wood carving. He is survived by nine children; Robert Greenwood and wife Grace, Dwayne Greenwood and wife Delana, Randy Greenwood and wife Carole, Monty Greenwood and Stella Wiley, Sherry Snyder, Charly McBroom, Lendon Thomas Jr., Darlene Fowler, and charlene Siberston; eight sibling; Michael Greenwood and wife Joyce, Jimmy Greenwood and wife Patsy, Billy Greenwood and wife Kathy, Leatrice Martin and husband J.C., Maudine Ledbetter and husband Ollie, and Lurlene Owen, two sisters-in-law Pat Greenwood and Sylvia Greenwood; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 1great-great-grandchild. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 3 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Chapel in Wolfe City, Texas with Steven Medford officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, and visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
