Truett Dale Wilburn, 73, of Wolfe City, Tx. passed away Friday, Dec. 1st at his residence. Mr. Wilburn was born on Jan. 20, 1944 to Delbert and Alowilda Davis Wilburn in Wolfe City, he married Lois Podd on Feb. 14, 1972 in Dallas, Tx. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from1966 to 1970 and reserves from 1970-1972. Mr. Wilburn worked in the trucking industry as driver/sales in Garland Tx. He retired in Wolfe City at his farm in 2010.
Survivors are his wife of Wolfe City, a daughter, Stephanie Smith, grandchildren
Grace, Lillith, and Ford; a son, Emmett Wilburn of Wolfe City, daughter-in-law, Cassey,
granddaughter, Olivia ; 3-sisters, Ruth Cobb, Barbara Cockrell and Debbie Stevens and 1-brother, Jim Wilburn; 18 nephews and nieces, 25 great nephews and nieces, and 18 great-great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. in the Calvary Baptist Church on
Tuesday, Dec. 5th conducted by Bro. Larry Morris. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Military Honors and Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, Dec. 6th at The DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
