February 26, 1927 – April 13, 2011 McDonald,
William A. “Andy” McDonald, age 84, of Wolfe City died April 13, 2011, at his home following a six-month illness. He was the son of Homer and Virgie Hanshew Lester; he was born February 26, 1927, in Iredell, Texas in Bosque County. On January 8, 1947, he married Alliene Minix in Dallas. Mr. McDonald served in World War II. Andy was owner of Andy`s Mill making custom cabinets, doors, and windows. He was a member of the Greenville Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife of Wolfe City; a daughter and son-in-law Patti and Jerry Flud of Wolfe City; four sons, Dan McDonald of Wolfe City, Dave McDonald of Philadelphia Mississippi, Micah and wife Betty McDonald of Ladonia and Jim McDonald of Florence; seven grandchildren, Amy, Kimberly, Heather, Ryan, Angela, Jon and Shawn; 15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Jean Cathey of Grapevine, Texas several nieces and nephews and friends and neighbors.
A funeral service will be held at
2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 16, 2011 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Chapel Wolfe City, Texas, with Richard Fox officiating. Iterment will follow at Mt.Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas with Marvin Robinson, Steve Sumrow
Rich Chambers, Jerry Krodle, Tracey Pierce, and Michael Wright serving as pallbearers.
