Kenneth David Lamm

Kenneth David Lamm, Sr. (Paw Paw) of Wolfe City, Texas passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026 at the age of 97. He was born on March 19, 1929 in Kingston, Texas to parents Carl D. Lamm & Belle (Read) Lamm.  After graduation, he enlisted in the Army 1947 and served his country being honorably discharged in 1956.

Kenneth loved to go metal detecting with his buddies, fishing, hunting, and most importantly, spending time with his family while drinking sweet tea!
Kenneth married Doris Delroye Wilkes on July 1,1950. Together they had 4 children.

He is survived by 3 children, son, Kenneth David Lamm Jr. and his wife Carol, daughter, Deborah Ray and son, Carl Lamm. Grandchildren: Michael Wicks Jr, Jolene Allyn, Sharon Rector and her husband Demetrius and Teresa Perez. Kenneth is also survived by several great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Doris Lamm, daughter, Sonja Dell Lamm, parents Carl D. & Bell Lamm, siblings: Dwayne Lamm, Tommy Lamm, Joe Lamm, Johnny Lamm, Betty Chambliss, and Lawanda Sanders.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 6-8:00PM at RW Owens Funeral Home in Wolfe City.
The Funeral will be on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 10:00am at Calvary Baptist Church of Wolfe City.
Interment to follow the service to Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jalen Rector, Damon Crook, Cameron Brown, Demetrius Rector, Tommy Jones, Valton Ticer.  The members of the Wolfe City Volunteer Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Home Health & Hospice for the care they gave to Kenneth.
