MS. Shirley Jo Templeton

Shirley Jo (Montgomery) Templeton passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Richardson, Texas at the age of 91. She was born in Ladonia, Texas on May 25, 1935, to parents Elmer William & Georgia (Ray) Montgomery. She attended and graduated from Ladonia High School.

Shirley married James T. “Turley” Templeton on November 22, 1951, in Ladonia, Texas. Together they had 3 children. She loved cooking, reading, as well as playing cards and dominos.

She is survived by her two sons, Rusty Templeton and his wife Renee, Randy Templeton and his wife Sandy. Grandchildren: Amber Fatheree and her husband Austin, Russell Templeton and his wife Emily, Erin Harvey, Amanda Harvey, Michael Fink, Blake Templeton and Carter Templeton. Shirley is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Templeton, her parents Elmer & Georgia Montgomery, and daughter Vicky Templeton.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at RW Owens Funeral Home at 2:00PM. Interment at Ladonia Cemetery in Ladonia, Texas at a later date.
