Billy Dean Morgan, age 90, passed away in Mesquite, Texas on October 3, 2025. He was born to Homer and Vivian (Stephens) Morgan on January 25, 1935 in Wolfe City, Texas.
Billy is survived by three sons, Michael Morgan, Bruce Morgan and Tracy Morgan. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ashley Smith, Austin Morgan, Chase Westmoreland, and Jaimie Westmoreland.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Leta Jane Webb Morgan and three siblings: Wayne Morgan, JD Morgan and Orpha Crain.
Billy worked as a truck driver and loved spending time with his family and friends. He graduated from Wolfe City High School Class of 1953. He was a lifetime Wolfe City resident.
The visitation will be on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm at R.W. Owens and Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City. The graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas.

I remember Billy Dean from my childhood years. I was a very little girl and he was a grown-up but we were related distantly even though we visited at his parents house frequently. He was always nice to me even though I was more of the age of JD and Orpha. Sorry for your loss and my late response. Our other relative in common was Robert L Scott who was an attorney in Greenville and died in January 2025. He also remembered the Morgan family fondly. My father was RoyDwayne Hardeman son of JT and Willie Hardeman and Bob was the son of Loys Scott & Reba Hardeman Scott.
