Charles Lynn Parrish, born Nov. 21, 1945; the sixth child of Mirkle Lucille and Walter Shanks Parrish.

Charles attended Fairlie public schools and graduated from Commerce public schools in 1964. He then went on to attend East Texas State University.

He served in the U.S. Army, 3rd Squadron, 17th Air Calvary during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brother, Roy Weldon and Hariel Adolphus Parrish.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Martha; son, Trent; daughter and son-in-law Paige and Daniel Turner and his beautiful granddaughters, Lauren and Laney.

He is also survived by three sisters, Earline Scoggins, Helen Robinson and Carolyn Low; and two brothers-in-law, Louie Robinson and Jim Low.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home chapel in Wolfe City. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday July 19, 2010 at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the Chronic Disease Fund and/or the American Cancer Society.
