Darrell Lynn Watson 66 of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2015 in Austin at Seton Medical Center. He was born on June 5, 1949 in Rural Hunt County to William Manford and Oreta Fulton O’Neal Watson. He married his wife of 44 years Kathryn Martinez on April 17, 1971 in Dallas, Texas.

Mr. Watson was a member of Shoreline Church in Austin and was a Sergeant in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was in Telecommunications Sales for many years.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn Watson, sons; Ryan K. Watson and wife Carmen, Jason A. Watson and three grand-children Cohen, Jessica, and Samara; eleven siblings Frankie Gregory, Glen Watson, Marie Collins, Nancy Parsons, Dewey Watson, Joe Watson, Don Watson, Jerry Watson, Medford Watson, Danny Watson, and Debra Martin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church Wolfe City with Dr. Kelly Carr officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City with Britt Watson, Neil Watson, Jon Gregory, Johnny Dewayne Watson, Greg Parsons, and Chase Martin serving as pallbearers.
