Earlene Janice Garcia, age 83, was born to Earl and Rena McGee Roberson in Harrah, OK September 11, 1940. She passed away peacefully at her home in Wolfe City, March 15, 2024.
A memorial service will be held Saturday April 13, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at R. W. Owens and Son Funeral Home.
Earlene attended high school in Harrah, OK. She married Jesse Garcia May 7, 1957, in Gainesville, TX. They moved to Wolfe City where they raised five children and she worked as an electrician at E-Systems in Greenville.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, five children: Robert Garcia from Wolfe City, Donald Garcia from Wolfe City, Regina Scallan from Wolfe City, Penny Allgood of Greenville, and Rhonda Sherman and husband Carl of Wills Point, and her brother Kenneth Roberson and wife Judy. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two babies, a grandson: Christopher Garcia, sister Alice Mae Osborn, brother Jimmy Dale Roberson, and sister Caroline Sauls.
Earlene enjoyed sewing, shopping and eating out with family and friends. She was happiest when her house was full with family eating and laughing while sitting around the kitchen table. Her family will miss her dearly.
My sister in law and friend for more than 50 years. You are free from every illness you had. Peace and love be with you. I will miss you love ❤️
