April 29, 1920 –  January 3, 2012 Ethel Woodruff Moody Luckey, 91, of Dallas passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at her home. She was born on April 29, 1920 in Aberfoyle, TX. to Ira William and Louvenie McKay Woodruff. On October 14, 1939 she married Harold Odell Moody at the Methodist Parsonage in Jacobia, TX. On September 2, 1987 Mr. Moody died. Then she married Col. James P. Luckey on January 1, 1988 and on December 29, 1994 he died. She was employed in the entertainment ticket business in 1950 and was manager of Preston Ticket agency at the Preston State Bank until 1983 when she moved into the banking business with retirement in 1987. She is survived by 3 sons, Reginald Moody and wife Pam; Woody Michael Moody and wife Penny and Warren Moody. Four grandsons and 5 great grandchildren. Siblings, Brother, Walter Woodruff, sister, Laverne Page, brother Troyce Woodruff, sister, Gladys McBride and sister, Elnita Wilson. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, William (Bud) Woodruff and Reid Woodruff and one granddaughter, Tina Moody. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist at Aberfoyle and she attended the First Presbyterian Church of Mesquite. There will be a Graveside service on Saturday January 7, 2012 at 2: 00 PM at Mt. Cannel Cemetery in Wolfe City, TX with Rev. Tom Wilbanks officiating. Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM family will receive friends at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home on Garland Road in Dallas. On Saturday morning 10:00 until 12:00 family will receive friends at Owens Funeral Home in Wolfe City. Contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association, PO Box 95, Wolfe City, TX 75496.
