August 13, 1947 –  May 18, 2010 Ebert:
James Ray “Jimmy” Ebert, 62, of Wolfe City died the evening of May 18, 2010, at the V.A. Nursing Center in Bonham. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church in Wolfe City with Bro. Montie Weaver and Bro. James Seigler officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Butch Samples, Stanley Samples, Chris Samples, David Dawson, Gene Dawson, Paul Ray Sanders and Allen Malone. Honorary pallbearers will be David Griffin and Jerry Pack.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home.

Jimmy was born Aug. 13, 1947, in Fort Sill, Okla., he was the son of Marvin and Vivian Samples Ebert. He married Linda Sue Robinson on Sept. 5, 1969, in Wolfe City.

Mr. Ebert served in Vietnam while in the U.S. Army. He retired from Ne-Tex Cooperative Oil Mill and was a member and a deacon of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Ebert worked on the construction for the building program at Calvary Baptist Church He was supervisor of the Wolfe City Lake project. He enjoyed extensively working as a volunteer for many Wolfe City projects and he was Citizen of the Year for 2005.

Surviving are his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bryan and Amy Ebert and Jason and Madeline Ebert, all of Wolfe City; two aunts, Linda Johnson of Greenville and Wanda of Dallas; a great-nephew, Damen Wilson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A son, James Ray Ebert Jr.; one brother and his parents preceded him in death.
