April 19, 1951 –  August 28, 2011 LaPorte,
Jeffrey Donald LaPorte age 60 of Wolfe City, Texas died on August 28, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. He was born in Tupper Lake New York on April 19, 1951 to Donald LaPorte and Ruth VomScheidt LaPorte. Jeff was a truck driver for many years, and a member of Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie, Texas. He also served in the United States Marine Corp. He married Patricia Mae Swanson on May 6, 1988 in Mesa, Arizona. He is survived locally by his wife of 23 years Tricia LaPorte, and Gennifer and Dante LaPorte. Three sons Tracey, Timothy, and Wayne LaPorte, three step children JoAnn Silliman, Shelly Schoetlin, and Mark Buerke, grandchildren Kristin Smales, Lance Schoetlin, and Heath Schoetlin. Other survivors include Jeff’s mother and two brothers Mike and David LaPorte, one sister Beth Hatch, brother-in-law Harold Swanson, and many nieces and nephews. His father and stepmother preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 6, 2011 at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City, Texas at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with military honors provided by the Hunt County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be Monday, September 5, 2011 from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home.
