Jeffrey “Jeff” Floyd Wallace, 61, of Gober, Texas, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at his home in Gober, Texas.

Born in Sherman, Texas, on May 14, 1963, to Joetta and Happy Wallace, he graduated from Bonham High School in 1981. He married the love of his life on September 23, 1988, at Lake Bonham just as a thunderstorm rolled in. He and Regina welcomed their son, Jaylen, on October 30, 1993, and his daughter, Jenna, on February 17, 1997.

Jeff grew up working on his family’s land in Gober, Texas, which remained a constant in his life. Jeff farmed and ranched in Gober for many years, most recently working for McCraw Oil in Bonham, Texas and Cattlemen’s Livestock in Paris, Texas. Jeff also enjoyed working in his garden and workshop and contributing his time to the community of Gober. When his grandchildren came along, he became “J-Pa”. He loved giving his grandchildren tractor rides and teaching his family to work the blackland soils that he loved so much. Jeff was a lifelong Gober Plowboy, and took pride in raising the next generations of Gober Plowboys and Plowgirls. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Gober.

He was preceded in death by granddaughter Jency Wallace, grandparents Gene “Lefty” Brent and Alene Brent, and grandparents George Wallace and Glenda Wallace.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Regina Wallace; son Jaylen Wallace and wife Kate; daughter Jenna Wallace and boyfriend Dylon Garcia; grandchildren Judd Wallace and Reese Wallace; all of Gober. He is also survived by his mother and father, Joetta and Happy Wallace; brother, Shane Wallace and family; sister Jonna Spiller and family; all of Gober. In addition, cousins, nieces, and nephews that shared his life.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Wolfe City, 103 South Preston Street, Wolfe City, Texas, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 P.M. Interment at Gober Cemetery in Gober, Texas will immediately follow.

Come and go viewing will be available Friday from 12 P.M. to 5 P.M. and Saturday 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home in Wolfe City, Texas.

Pallbearers are Jaylen Wallace, Monte Wallace, Shane Wallace, Jeff Spiller, Ronald Sadler, Roger Sadler, Shane Dockery, and Dylon Garcia.

Honorary pallbearers are Judd Wallace, Terry Holmes, Matt Painter, Pat Brent, Terry Don Brent, Todd Tucker, and Bud Gordon.
