Jesse Ray Bobo, age 80, passed away February 19, 2021 at his home in Chilton, while surrounded by his family. He was born to Carl and Lucy Roden Bobo February 8, 1941 in Wolfe City.
Jesse graduated from high school in Fort Worth, then he opened a service station, which he operated until he was drafted into the Army. He served honorably during the Vietnam War, then returned home and married Alice Brown January 27, 1967.
Jesse and Alice spent many happy years together, raising three sons: Dwayne, Benny and Jody. He was a firm man who was extremely independent. He loved his family dearly.
He is survived by his wife Alice, sons: Dwayne Bobo and wife Leann, Benny Bobo and wife Becky, and Jody Bobo and wife Melissa. He survived by his grandsons and granddaughters: Dwayne, Kelly, Roy, Ryan, Jason, Brandon, Bryce, Esteban Garcia, Adrian Rueda, Rachael, Amanda, Valerie, Maggie, Brielle, alli, Elena, Brandi, and Rachel. He is also survived by nephew John Lamb and wife Dawn, niece Theresa Johnson, great-grandsons Ellison and Dallas, and one great-grandhchild who is on the way.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, brother Billy Franklin Bobo, sister Ethel Lamb Brown, nephews: Carlos Lamb, Jeff Lamb, and Tony Lamb, and great nephew Landon.
The funeral service will be conducted by Paster Brenda Williams at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Owens Funeral Chapel in Wolfe City. Visitation will be one hour prior.
