Ken was loved by many and he loved them. He would do anything for his family, friends, community, and church. Ken was a family man and always put family first. His family never doubted his love for each and every one of them as he made sure he showed it. He looked forward to all the family gatherings throughout the years and especially looked forward to the West Family Reunion held every year in September. Ken was a quiet man and made sure he always treated everyone with kindness and respect. He loved playing and watching sports, taking naps in his recliner, and putting together puzzles. He spent the majority of his career in the grocery business working various roles and retired in 2007. He was an avid antique collector and eventually operated an antique store in downtown Wolfe City for many years.

This is such sad news. Ken loved his church and his church family.
He will be missed very much.
Love and prayers for the family.
Ken was one of the kindest men I’ve ever had the pleasure to know. He gave so much love to my children when they were young. I don’t know what I would’ve done without Ken and Susie!
My thoughts and prayers are with the family. May God‘s love give you comfort.
Sheri,

Ken greeted us at church with his happy face, as always last Sunday. Ken was always a guiding light as a greeter at our church! We are so saddened by his unexpected death…..
May you feel God’s love and comfort during this trying time.
Love, Dick and Ola Owens
Sherri, we are so sorry for your loss. Joe and I remember Ken fondly. Our deepest condolences to your family.
You have our hearts and our prayers as you remember your wonderful Dad. Our family remembers with love our times together in Garland.
Much as been said over the past few days about how faithful Ken was to his church. On any Sunday morning, Ken, Susie, and I were usually the first three to arrive. Ken swept and cleared the sidewalks of leaves and any other things the wind blew up. He made the coffee, set the a/c, the lights, until the building was ready for people to arrive for worship. I know I’m leaving out some things he did only because I am not aware of it all. He helped me fold the worship bulletin as well. After that, we would sit and have coffee, and get caught up on any current news events, especially those events that might affect our church. The final duty he had on a Sunday morning (along with Susie), was to secure our building including making sure doors were locked, lights were off, and the h/vac was adjusted. I know I am leaving out many other duties he gifted to God and his church family. We all will miss Ken’s presence, his quiet demeanor, his faithfulness, his ever-present smile, and how much he helped all of us in various ways. Susie, we love you, and we hope to be there to support you. We are already praying for you, and for the rest of your family at this time. On Friday when Ken left this world, we became sad, but we must remember the joy Ken had of meeting his God and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What a day for Ken!
I respected Ken for his kindness and dedication to his family and community. May God bless you during this time.
Stacy & I loved Ken like family. He was such a good man, and worked tireless for the church he loved. Men like him are a rare jewel for sure, and he will be missed.
So sorry to hear about your loss. Prayers and love to all.
Always enjoyed talking and visiting with Kenneth while browsing through his antique store.
