Marvin Winfield Pack, age 88, of Wolfe City, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1937, in Wolfe City, Texas, to Claud Pack and Tempest Odessa Tiffee Pack.
Marvin was a proud graduate of Wolfe City High School, where he excelled in football and track. He later served his country honorably in the United States Army, spending two years stationed in Germany. During his service overseas, Marvin met the love of his life, Christine Margarete Spira, on a train traveling from Garmisch to Munich. The two were married on December 17, 1965, at Aberfoyle Baptist Church, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned six decades.
Throughout his working life, Marvin was employed in printing and building maintenance, known for his strong work ethic and reliability. A devoted member of Aberfoyle Baptist Church, he faithfully served as a deacon for many years.
Above all else, Marvin’s greatest joy was spending time with his family. In his younger years, he proudly won many trophies drag racing. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching old westerns, spending time at the coffee shop, and riding around the pasture. Gatherings with extended family, attending the yearly Wolfe City Rodeo, and sharing everyday moments with loved ones brought him great happiness.
Marvin is survived by his beloved wife, Christine Pack, of Wolfe City, Texas; his daughters, Tanya Butler and husband Joe Paul, and Tina Livingston and husband Jamie; his grandchildren, Haley Hicks, Hanna Dawson and husband Bryan, and Tyler Livingston; and his great-grandchildren, Kenzi Hicks, Everett Dawson and sister Emmy on the way, and Remi Smith; and his sister-in-law, Ann Pack.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Odessa Pack; his sister, Charlsie Gardner and her husband Tommy; and his brother, Billy Pack.
Visitation is planned for Friday, December 26, 2025, at Owens Funeral Home in Wolfe City from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. There will be a graveside service conducted by Bro. Kerry Meador at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Wolfe City Fire Department. Checks or cash may be mailed to P.O. Box 134, Wolfe City, TX 75496.
Marvin will be remembered for his deep faith, his devotion to family, the kindness he consistently showed to others, and his love of talking with anyone who crossed his path. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
