March 4, 1949 –  May 27, 2014 Reyes-Rodriguez,
Rogelio Reyes Rodriguez age 65 of Waco formally of Sulphur Bluff died on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 4, 1949 in Villia Juarez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Constancio Reyes and Maria de Jesus Rodriguez. He married Maria Elia Herrera Ortega on June 1, 1970 in Tamosopo, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Rogelio attended St. James Catholic Church in Sulphur Spring and San Isidro Labrador Iglesia Catolica in Mexico. He was a faithful servant of the church and an example to others, a quiet man with a big smile that loved his wife, children and especially his grandchildren. During his life Rogelio was a farmer and rancher, and later in life grew sugar cane on his family farm.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Maria Elia Reyes, children Sergio Reyes of Allen, Maria Reyes of Tyler, Esmeralda Llanas of Woodway, Nancy Reyes of Waco and Rogelio Reyes Jr. of Sulphur Springs and Lily Reyes of Hewitt, 16 grandchildren, mother Maria de Jesus Rodriguez, brothers Venancio Reyes Pantaleon Reyes and Beto Reyes.

He is preceded in death by his father Constancio Reyes and son Jesus Gustavo Reyes in May of 1979.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at West Oaks Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs and visitation will follow till 8:00 P.M.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Sulphur Spring with Father Susai Avula and Deacon Jose Hernandez officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date in Panteon Municipal de Damian Carmona, San Luis Potosi, Mexico with Alberto Guerrero, Ramiro Marquez, Jose Luis Cabral, Edgar Mancilla, Rojelio Reyes Jr., and Sergio Reyes serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Reyes, Austin Reyes, Alex Mancilla, Josh Zuniga, and Venancio Reyes.
