Glen T. Wallace, 82, of Wolfe City died July 17, 2011, at Smith Nursing Home after an illness of several months.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home chapel with Paul Wilkerson and Steven Medford officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.

Mr. Wallace was born Feb. 27, 1929, in Leonard to John and Bertha Hartley Wallace. He married Treva Joyce Monroe on Sept. 6, 1952, in Wolfe City.

He was a sexton for Mount Carmel Cemetery and a supervisor of maintenance at the Dallas VA Center.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as a staff sergeant for the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division, 8th Field Artillery and was a member of West Main Church of Christ in Wolfe City.

Surviving are a grandson and wife, Matthew and Christie Sifuentes, and a great-granddaughter, Maddie Sifuentes, all of Wolfe City; and a sister, Barbara Erhorn of Weatherford.

He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Glenda Sifuentes; one brother, Doyle Wallace; and his parents.

Pallbearers are Rick Wisdom, Larry Monroe, Gary Monroe, Barry Monroe, Marty Monroe, Randy Monroe and Richard Wisdom.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home
