Artrude (Artie) Talley Houston

December 1, 1924 -  January 7, 2013 Artrude “Artie” Talley Houston, 88, of Temple died Jan. 7, 2013, at her home following a three-year illness. She was born Dec. 1, 1924, in Wolfe City to Arthur and Gertrude Houston Talley. She married Ralph Houston Dec. 31, 1966, in Fort Worth. She was a business woman and was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church in Temple. She had a beautiful spirit, so sweet and caring. She always made people feel special and loved. She loved to cook, garden and read. Surviving are a daughter, Candace Gossage and husband Joel of Temple; grandson Jason Gossage and wife Lara; three great-grandchildren, Harrison, Brodwick and Sarah; one sister, Nancy Perkins of Wolfe City; a niece, Kim Holwedell; and great-niece Jess Hanna.
