Chris White

Chris White went home to be with the Lord on October 6, 2026 at the age of 77. He was born in Celeste, Texas on August 13, 1949 to parents Thurman Lester White and Myrl Dene (Cogburn) White. Chris graduated from Wolfe City High School in 1967. Later he married Brenda Sue (Davis) on August 26, 2001 in Greenville, Texas.

Chris was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda White; his father, Thurman White; his mother, Dene White; his sister, Vanessia White; and his brother, Ricky White.

He is survived by his sister, Teresia McKay, and her husband, RayDean; his brother, Ronnie White and his wife Kay; his daughter, Kezia Moonoo and her husband Michael; his daughter, Kimberly Dent; his grandchildren:  Coy, Kristen, Max, McKenzie, and Elizabeth Ann; along with a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Chris was faithful to God and both of his church families, Destiny Life Church and Cornerstone Family Church. After he began his new life in Christ he was a light to many in his community—though if you knew him in his younger years…that’s a whole other story. He loved his dog, Baby and his cows.

A visitation will be held at RW Owens Funeral Home on Sunday, October 11, 2026 from 2:00-2:45pm, a graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Cemeter in Wolfe City, Texas.
